My Fifi Lapin iPhone case from Iconemesis ❤

Heey lovies! Some time ago I was approached by & introduced to Iconemesis, a British mobile phone accessories brand. Their range of iPhone 4/4s/5/5s cases showcase the best of up and coming British design talent on your very own phone. The people at Iconemesis were nice enough to send me a case of my own choice ^__^. The cases are a mixture of cute and cool designs & illustrations. I love anything girly so obviously I was going to choose one that was super cute (duh!). And it just so happens to be super fashionable as well! Double yaaay!

This case is called 'The Mauwe Coat by Fifi Lapin'. It's the famous and very stylish bunny surrounded by polka dots. Besides the playful design, I like the fact that this case is easier to remove than my other cases. I'm one of those people that like changing my phone case a lot, just to change things up a bit. But sometimes it's almost im-pos-sible for me to remove a solid plastic iPhone case. But not this one! And no, I'm not saying it slides off every 5 minutes ;) Needless to say, I am very satisfied with my new case. I've even been getting a few compliments about it at school :) You can find my case (which is on sale btw) here.

What do you think of my new iPhone case?
PS. Iconemesis is actually having a 'Design Your Own iPhone Case' contest going on until 26th of March! Check for more details.

Event: NELLY High Heels @ Penthouse Den Haag ❤

Hey lovies! With a group of four shoe lovers I made my way to The Penthouse in the Hague yesterday for the Nelly High Heels event. We arrived almost four(!!) hours before the event, just to secure our spot within the first 100 arriving girls. Which afterwards didn't seem necessary AT ALL. But better safe with free heels (+ a goodiebag) than sorry, right? In the meantime we decided to get a drink at TP bar and go elsewhere to grab a bite to eat. So the time flew by. I remember going to the Nelly High Heels event in Utrecht a few years ago. So I kind of knew what to expect, but then again I was also very curious to see the choice of heels this year. I believe they felt a little short (total amount wise), but they were no less gorgeous! Here's a small impression of the event.

My first choice of heels were called High Gladiator Sandals in black, which unfortunately I can not find on the site. But my second and third choices were the Buckle Sandal in brown and the Holograph Pumps in blue/green. Doesn't the pump remind you of a mermaid? So cute! They said the heels are supposed to be delivered to us up to 5/6 weeks from now, which is kind of a bummer. But hey, that's something new to look forward to!

Yesterday I was wearing my H&M black cut-out top, Boohoo.com grey rouched side maxi-skirt and Diewilikhebben.com denim booties.

If you feel like getting free Nelly.com heels, but missed out on the events in Amsterdam and the Hague: check here to see what city they'll be in next! PS: the one in Rotterdam is TONIGHT! ;)

Report: Blog Class Event by Yara Michels ❤

       HELLO LOVELY READERS

Yesterday my day started super early, since I had to be at the Westergasterras in Amsterdam at 11AM for the second edition of BlOG CLASS EVENT hosted by Yara Michels. A lot of you may know her from the super successful blog This Chick's Got Style! I was extremely excited to meet the girl behind one of the biggest Dutch (and international) fashion blogs out there. And to hear from her personally what worked best for her to get where she is now. It was definitely an inspiring morning!
Blog Class Event 2 by Yara Michels That Chick's Got Style
Along with a very nice powerpoint presentation, Yara told her story about how she first started her blog five years ago! She expressed how it was a lot more difficult back then to get an audience, because social media wasn't half as popular as it is now. She also showed her outfit pictures- transformation from when she first started and now. And, THAT was truly impressive and inspiring.

Yara divided her biggest tips and tricks into seven categories:
01. Finding your Blog Niche
02. Creating an Editorial Calendar
03. Visuals (Pictures)
04. Text
05. Attracting & Keeping Readers
06. Social Media
07. LET'S TALK BUSINESS (Turning your blog into a business).

Each category was equally informative and I took her tips very seriously. I have about 10 pages of notes to proof it. After her presentation was done, Yara recommended a few books (including her own) to help grow our blog even further, and did a little Q&A. Afterwards, she also took the time to have a chat with all the bloggers and snap a few pictures. She is so humble and truly an inspiration to me. And if you check her resume and see all the things she has accomplished with her blog so far, you too would aspire to be just like her! :)
