Bloggers Favorite: Fliqlo Flip Clock Screensaver ❤

Maybe you've seen these, maybe you haven't.. but they're everywhere now. I'm talking about what seems to be bloggers' favorite new screensaver that'll make any office space go from basic to Pinterest worthy. Fliqlo - the famous flip clock screensaver, has been around for years now. But only recently did I decide it was time to hop on the bandwagon.

I just love the look of a minimalist office space and the fliqlo clock fits right in there. And the good news is anyone can get it (for free), whether you have a Mac or Windows desktop/laptop or have an iOS device. They make for great Instagram pictures, that's for sure. And are super convenient obviously!

Event | Zalando Bloggers Awards 2015 ❤

Last weekend I got to go to the Zalando Blogger Awards for the first time. And because of that, I didn't really know what to expect. But it was pretty fun and I even got to tag along with a few fellow bloggers. See more of the events through the pictures below.

Event: Pearl Your Lifestyle Event Jaarbeurs Utrecht ❤

Heey lovelies,

Last Saturday ROOTS-PR invited me to attend the 2nd edition of Pearl your Lifestyle event in Jaarbeurs Utrecht. I brought along my friend Omaily, my extra photographer for the day, and together we roamed passed all the fashion, beauty and food stands. We got to do our eyebrows, get flash tattoos, hair care advice and makeup tips, eat delicious baked pastries from our lovely island Curaçao, watch models strut on the runway and more. And when we wanted to sit down for a moment, we had a lovely "VIP" area for bloggers to charge our phones and network. All though I had absolutely no phone connection whatsoever and quickly went through all the shopping stands, I did enjoy my time. 

Event: Blogging101 - The Bloggers Academy Workshop ❤

Heey lovies,

Is anyone else super bummed that the weekend has gone by so fast? However I still enjoyed my days off and even attended a bloggers' event on Friday. For a little while now I have been a member of the Blogging101 facebook group. And when the admin Nene Merit (from online magazine Elegancy101) announced she was hosting a special bloggers' workshop, I was so excited. Since I've been blogging for almost 4 years now, I really think it's time to step up my blogging game and (try to) gain a steady income. I still love blogging with a passion and can't even imagine my life as a non-blogger. 

During the event topics like 'how to be an online influencer', 'corporate branding' and 'social media psychology' were discussed. We also got some useful tips and tricks from successful FROMHATSTOHEELS.com blogger Larissa Bruin. And I think her little presentation inspired me the most. Just to see other bloggers doing so well, kind of gives me a push in the back to really get my blog out there. Besides getting me really inspired to start using social media more effectively for my blog, I also had a lot of fun meeting new fellow bloggers: swapping business cards & networking. If you couldn't make it to the event, I want to leave you with a little impression of a fun night.

Event: RIVER ISLAND Amsterdam Re-Launch Party ❤

Yesterday on my last free Friday before college starts again, I decided to wake up early and travel to Amsterdam for the RIVER ISLAND exclusive re-launch party. For the first 100 people in line at 10:00, RI gave out special surprise vouchers worth up to €200! So ofcourse, I wanted to be within the first 100 in line, because there is just nothing better than free shopping money. But I was so surprised when I arrived at the store, because there were no less than 10 people in front of me lol. Secretly I was hoping for a €50 or up- gift voucher, because I really wanted to get the white €70 Jeffrey Campbell Scully look-a-likes! But since my voucher was worth €20, I had to settle for something less. But even so, I was still very content! See my purchase at the bottom!

The actual party didn't start until 16:00 that afternoon, and I was totally planning on sticking around for the hours remaining because I really wanted to meet Negin Mirsalehi who was hosting. But I wasn't feeling so well, so I decided it was better to just go back home. But not before, I snapped a few in-store shots. 

Report: Blog Class Event by Yara Michels ❤

       HELLO LOVELY READERS

Yesterday my day started super early, since I had to be at the Westergasterras in Amsterdam at 11AM for the second edition of BlOG CLASS EVENT hosted by Yara Michels. A lot of you may know her from the super successful blog This Chick's Got Style! I was extremely excited to meet the girl behind one of the biggest Dutch (and international) fashion blogs out there. And to hear from her personally what worked best for her to get where she is now. It was definitely an inspiring morning!

Along with a very nice powerpoint presentation, Yara told her story about how she first started her blog five years ago! She expressed how it was a lot more difficult back then to get an audience, because social media wasn't half as popular as it is now. She also showed her outfit pictures- transformation from when she first started and now. And, THAT was truly impressive and inspiring. 

Yara divided her biggest tips and tricks into seven categories:

05. Attracting & Keeping Readers

07. LET'S TALK BUSINESS (Turning your blog into a business).

Each category was equally informative and I took her tips very seriously. I have about 10 pages of notes to proof it. After her presentation was done, Yara recommended a few books (including her own) to help grow our blog even further, and did a little Q&A. Afterwards, she also took the time to have a chat with all the bloggers and snap a few pictures. She is so humble and truly an inspiration to me. And if you check her resume and see all the things she has accomplished with her blog so far, you too would aspire to be just like her! :)

Trend: Tutu Skirts ❤

As a former ballet dancer, one trend I would really like to take on is the Tutu Skirts. Also known as 'tulle skirts'. I remember the first time seeing a Tutu-Skirt outfit on tumblr a few weeks back and I just stared at it in awe, no joke. And ever since I haven't stopped seeing them on other fashion blogs. That's why I wanted to share some of my favorite tutu looks with you today. And who knows, maybe you'll fall in love with them too.

A couple of days ago I came up with this Secret Santa Blogger Edition idea that I want to organize this year. Team Curacao Bloggers' First Anniversary ❤

Today is a special day for Team Curacao Bloggers. We're celebrating our very first anniversary! Precisely a year ago me and 11 other bloggers originated from Curacao came together to start Curacao's very own blogging community. Our mission was to "carve the fashion & beauty in Curacao". With satisfaction I can say that in our first year we have accomplished so much. We were invited to fashion/beauty events, we got recognition from some awesome businesses and we inspired a lot of new bloggers to join our community. I am so thankful for meeting all the bloggers and wish us so much more fun within the next years! TCB IS TAKING OVERRRRR!! ❤

EVENT: Miele Catwalk 2012 ❤

Last wednesday I got a tweet from NellyNL saying that I won two tickets to Miele Catwalk 2012. And I couldn't be happier. I mean a fashion show, glamorous dress code and seats at the first range? Any one would be trilled about good news like that. As excited as I was, I forgot to bring my camera stupidly enough. By the time I realized, it was far too late to turn back. Luckily for my camera phone I was still able to capture a few moments here and there.

EVENT: 1st VOGUE Fashion's Night Out in Amsterdam XL ❤

Yesterday was the first VOGUE Fashion's Night Out in Amsterdam. Me and Omaily had such a blast! First we went to Bijenkorf, had our picture taken a few times and then we headed over to P.C Hooftstraat. Even though there were tons of people, I did not recognize any blogger. Super weird! But I did see a lot of fashionable people wearing fashionable items I want hanging in my closet. I wish VOGUE would have a FNO every 3 to 4 months lol.
