International Swim Fashion Week Curaçao ❤

Hello lovelies,

I just can't find the inspiration to blog lately, but I'm very excited for this particular post. One of the main concerns I had when moving back to Curaçao for these months, was that I would have to say bye to my blogger life for a while. Meaning: no(t too many) fashion shows or beauty events to attend. But all that changed when I found out Curaçao is hosting an International Swim Fashion Week later this month. I already set aside money to buy tickets, but I decided to approach them anyway in case they were looking for bloggers to cover any runway shows. Turns out, they were so excited and granted me a VIP ticket for each day! How cool is that? I'm beyond excited!

In case you don't want to miss out -what seems will be- a very awesome event, I suggest you get tickets asap. All shows will be held at the beautiful SANTA BARBARA Beach & Golf resort. I've never been there before, but I've seen pictures and it's gorgeous! I don't think I'd want to be anywhere else but at the place where I get to see 9 world class swim designers and 14 of the world's top runway models! Would you?
For the most recent updates, follow ISFW on facebook and instagram!

Who will I be seeing next week on the 20th?

Xx

Outfit: ALL BLACK EVERYTHING ❤

Hello lovelies,

Looong time no see! Right now I'm back home in Curaçao for a couple of months to complete my internship before graduating. So right now I have a pretty busy life, being a full-time working lady and all. That's why I try to do as much fun stuff in the weekend as possible. Yesterday my friend and I went to see The Boy Next Door and it was sooo good! You guys definitely have to go see it! Here's what I decided to wear.

Black blouse - unknown | Black vinyl skirt - Boohoo.com | Black lace booties - Nelly.com | Necklace - Primark

Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions for blog posts ideas I can do while I'm here on the island, cause I haven't had that much inspiration in a while.

What 2 Wear: Curaçao Carnival 2014 ❤

     HELLO LOVELY READERS

This post is especially for all the fashionable females in Curaçao who are getting ready to enjoy the annual Carnival parades. The Carnival season is all about having fun, looking playful and showing off your personal colorful fashion sense. And with all of that in mind, I've created 8 different looks [shorts & skirts] that hopefully brings you to some stylish outfit ideas of your own. So let's get you inspired!
Curacao Carnival 2014 outfit ideas
 Bralet x Midi
Look sexy without exposing too much, by wearing a midi tube skirt and a bralet. Make the outfit pop with contrasting color shoes.

✿ Monochrome x Color Block
Rock the monochrome trend with a matching top & sunglasses and make it festive with color blocking shorts and textured heels.

✿ White x Holographic
Who knew white can make you stand out? Wearing white on white definitely will! And to make your outfit a little bit more interesting add a holographic backpack and colored-lens sunglasses.

✿ Polka Dots x Leather
Show off your toned legs with some black leather shorts and sexy peep toe booties. And add a polka dotted satchel for a more playful look.

✿ Print x Clash
Wearing matching separates is still a big ongoing trend. But for Carnival, change it up with completely different prints and voilà! Make sure the prints do actually work go together. Keep your accessories in the same color scheme for a more polished look.

✿ Feminine x Floral
Stay true to your girly personality by wearing a floral skirt and matching colored chunky boots. Girly-fy your outfit even more with a cute bow headband and an eye-catching clutch. Wear a simple top to keep the focus on the right items.

✿ Floral x Princess
Another girly outfit! Look cute and bring out your inner ballet girl with a tutu skirt. Wear lace up shoes for a comfortable feel and give your outfit a feminine finishing touch with a floral crown.

✿ Gladiator x Color Block
I am still dying to find the perfect gladiator sandals! But if you happen to find them, pair these cuties up with a high waisted denim short. Color block your outfit by wearing a crochet crop top and a bright colored crossbody bag.

I hope these outfits have given you endless inspiration to start getting your outfits ready. Remember to put your best fashionable foot forward and always stay true to your style! Let me know which of these outfits above best represents your style and why.

Team Curacao Bloggers' First Anniversary ❤

Today is a special day for Team Curacao Bloggers. We're celebrating our very first anniversary! Precisely a year ago me and 11 other bloggers originated from Curacao came together to start Curacao's very own blogging community. Our mission was to "carve the fashion & beauty in Curacao". With satisfaction I can say that in our first year we have accomplished so much. We were invited to fashion/beauty events, we got recognition from some awesome businesses and we inspired a lot of new bloggers to join our community. I am so thankful for meeting all the bloggers and wish us so much more fun within the next years! TCB IS TAKING OVERRRRR!! ❤

Curacao Fashion Haul ❤

I've been back a day now from my vacation in Curacao and all I wanna do is sleep, eat and sleep some more. So tired! But I definitely had a lot of fun seeing and being with my family and friends. I also did a little shopping as you could have read here and here. But today I'm showing you what else I got. It kinda amazes me that I didn't do that much shopping as I thought I would.
Creme & Black Tie-Knot Blouse, store: name unknown.
Leopard Buttoned & Tie-Knot Blouse, store: name unknown.
Black & Pink Dotted Dipped Hem Blouse, store: Jaysons (Otrobanda)
Black & Pink Velvet Shoes, brand: Qupid
I actually didn't buy this shoe, but one day my dad just brought these for me by surprise :D I love surprises, especially ones in shoe boxes!!

What do you think of my very mini haul?

New In: Gold Spikes & Burgundy ❤

Since today was my little brother's last day in Curacao before he leaves back to USA tomorrow, me, my mom and my brothers decided to hit up the city and do a little (school) shopping. My brothers both scored with some clothing, jewelry and some really geeky glasses. And I bought three very cute tops, which I will show in another blogpost, and I also got shoes..AGAIN :D:D I could have never guessed Curacao had so many lovely shoes from what I can remember, but they really surprised me. Most of them I haven't even seen in Holland yet!
I love Qupid shoes!
These babies were from Graficos (Otrobanda, Curacao). They have amazing shoesssssss! My mom usually hates spikes on everything, but she really liked this one. I wanted to buy another pair as well, which was breathtaking. But with a price of 119 guilders, I wasn't really thrilled to spend it on one pair of shoes.

Outfit: Rock the Crowd ❤

Yesterday I wore this outfit to the 'Rock the Crowd' party. Didn't have that much fun, but my outfit (especially my shoes) did get a lot of stares.
Top - Buy Wise (Curacao), Skirt - Fashion.com (Curacao)
Clutch - H&M, Shoes - Buy Wise (Curacao)
Me and my mom still need to get the hang of taking outfit pictures with the right angles, the perfect location, the light etc. But we'll get the hang of it lol

New In: Fuchsia Shoes ❤

Just now I went shopping with my mom since I needed a new outfit for a party tonight! I must say I scored really well... I am the MOST happy with these new babies. Walking around in Buy Wise (Punda, Curacao) I saw so many shoes that I wanted. I even picked up a orange neon sandal to try on, when my eye caught these ones. It was love at first sight. ♥____
I always wanted to know how it would feel like to walk in these types of shoes, but I never expected it them to be THIS COMFORTABLE!!!  :D:D
I can't wait for the party tonight. Hopefully I'll manage to get some great outfit shots too!

Yesterday we went to dinner at this grill restaurant, where we ate some super delicious food and had an awesome time.
