Ways to Spend Valentine's Day When You're Single ❤

All the single ladies, all the single ladies.. now put your hands up! Personally I've never had this problem, but Valentine's Day can be a very lousy day for some people when they're single. Yes, it's a very commercialized holiday. But I feel like people tend to forget that this day isn't just about having a significant other to show love to, but also family and friends you hold dear to your heart! But just in case, you think you're going to be miserable, I've come up with ten ways to make this year's Valentine's day a more special one. Have fun reading :)

1. A Solo Netflix and Chill

If you're a homebody like me, I'm sure there's nothing you enjoy more than your own company in the comfort of your home. And being single on Valentine's Day shouldn't feel any different. So climb in bed or curl up on your comfy coach, have a big bowl of buttered popcorn besides you at all times and let the binge watching of your favorite old shows begin!

2. DIY Home Spa

When you feel like taking a little break from all that netflixing, treat yourself to a relaxing home-spa session! Your mind and body will love you for it. What you'll need: some scented candles, zen music, colorful bath bombs, body scrub, face & hair mask.. and a bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, if you're feeling fancy.

3. Pinterest Dinner Party

In case you rather not spend Valentine's Day alone, gather all your single gals together and host the most Pinterest-looking dinner party ever! Get some delicious looking recipes online and show everyone you're a kitchen princess in disguise. Deck the place out with cute dining linens, cutlery, plates and some pretty little flowers as the center piece. Get all of your friends to split the costs, or even more fun: DIY everything! Finish the dining area off with a few girly pillows, heart balloons and some sparkle! Don't forget to take lots of pictures!

How You & Your Friends Can Become Squad Goals ❤

If you've been somewhat living on social media for the past year (I'm not judging I swear), there's no way the hashtag squadgoals didn't cross your path at least a thousand times. It definitely became a thing after Taylor Swift decided to bring her posse of "Bad Blood" bad girls along to last year's VMAs. Ever since then girls everywhere have been aspiring to become just as fierce as the OG squad and continuously attempt to display just how tight their friendship bond really is, no matter how big or small of a group.

If you and your friends dream of obtaining that absolute level of 'goals', keep reading because I've gathered tons of cool props and clothing to help you parade your squadness

Bloggers Favorite: Fliqlo Flip Clock Screensaver ❤

Maybe you've seen these, maybe you haven't.. but they're everywhere now. I'm talking about what seems to be bloggers' favorite new screensaver that'll make any office space go from basic to Pinterest worthy. Fliqlo - the famous flip clock screensaver, has been around for years now. But only recently did I decide it was time to hop on the bandwagon.

I just love the look of a minimalist office space and the fliqlo clock fits right in there. And the good news is anyone can get it (for free), whether you have a Mac or Windows desktop/laptop or have an iOS device. They make for great Instagram pictures, that's for sure. And are super convenient obviously!

What do you think of these screensavers?

My High-End Makeup Wishlist ❤

Lately I've been so into high-end beauty products. Not necessarily because I think they're great quality, but because they're sooo nice to look at. Sounds insane right? But I'm just such a sucker for pretty packaging and it just so happens that I really like the ones that are a little (or a lot) over my budget. But making wishlists luckily doesn't cost a thing!

Fitspiration: Cute & Affordable Active Wear ❤

The first week of 2016 is officially behind us and I'm proud and impressed that the goals set for this year are still all I think about. If you've read my previous blog post, you know that maintaining a healthy lifestyle was on the list. And even though I have been more cautious of what I eat now and often choose home-cooking over take-out, I still haven't gotten my butt back into the gym just yet! And though it might sound a little superficial, I think buying cute gym clothes just might be the motivation that I need. So you know I had to find me some..

I like active wear that looks cute, is somehow motivating and most importantly affordable. If you're the same, you're in luck. Because I found 25 fitness gear all for under €25! So enjoy and let's get fit together :)

My Life Goals for 2016 ❤

YOU GUYSSSS.. It is officially 2016!!! I know what I'm about to say is the most cliché thing ever, but it literally feels like 2015 just started. But I can't lie, overall it was a very good year: I graduated from college and got to have my parents at my ceremony, I got to travel abroad three times, I still have tons of blogging years in me, I'm healthy, I'm happy.. so I really can't complain. But I think it's time to turn it up a notch this year. That's why I went ahead and created a list of goals to work towards this year!

☑ Find my Dream Job
On top of the things I really need to accomplish within the first few weeks of this year, is to find a full-time job I absolutely love to do. Honestly, the ideal situation for me would be to become a full-time blogger and work from home. But since bills are a real thing, I have to find a more realistic job for now that's all about fashion and marketing! At least, until my blog becomes profitable enough for me to live comfortably. But I'm confident that day's gonna come when it's time.

☏ Find my Dream Apartment
Along with finding a job, I also need to find a new apartment soon. Preferably one with more than one bedroom to create a home office or a walk-in closet.. or both! But to find a place big enough, I gotta make sure I am able to afford one first. So finding an apartment and finding a job really go hand in hand. But I've been collecting tons and tons of interior inspiration on Pinterest, so I'm very sure I'll be able to transform any space into my own little dream home.

✈ Feed into my Wanderlust
Being an island girl and moving to a much bigger city in the Netherlands has opened my eyes to so many new experiences. But sadly enough, I haven't experienced Europe as much as I had hoped for within the past five years. So I really want to change that this year. Lately I've had such an urge to just wander off in various cities and just appreciate the city life. Be sure to follow my new Instagram account @WanderingTheCity if you have a wanderlust as well.

♥ Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle
I was probably the most into regularly working out last year right before my birthday. And I really really want to get back into some sort of routine. I haven't been eating as healthy as I probably should for the last couple of months and sometimes it just makes me feel really crappy about myself. Whenever I was working out, eating healthy and seeing positive results, it just motivated me so much and made me feel a lot more confident. I really want to bring that positiveness back into my daily life.

☼ Celebrate the Little Things
As my last goal for this year, I just really want to appreciate life more. I want everyday to have lots of happy and zen moments. I want to laugh more, love more, live more and experience more. So whenever I'm having a bad day (because that's totally okay), I want to still find the good in each day!

I think these five goals are very realistic and I'll do my best attempt at sticking to all of them throughout the year. Honestly can't wait to see where my life has taken me once 2017 rolls around. But first, I'm giving 2016 my all!

A very happy happy new year to each and everyone of you, I hope your year is as amazing as you want it to be! What are some of your new year's resolutions?
