Report: Blog Class Event by Yara Michels ❤

       HELLO LOVELY READERS

Yesterday my day started super early, since I had to be at the Westergasterras in Amsterdam at 11AM for the second edition of BlOG CLASS EVENT hosted by Yara Michels. A lot of you may know her from the super successful blog This Chick's Got Style! I was extremely excited to meet the girl behind one of the biggest Dutch (and international) fashion blogs out there. And to hear from her personally what worked best for her to get where she is now. It was definitely an inspiring morning!
Blog Class Event 2 by Yara Michels That Chick's Got Style
Along with a very nice powerpoint presentation, Yara told her story about how she first started her blog five years ago! She expressed how it was a lot more difficult back then to get an audience, because social media wasn't half as popular as it is now. She also showed her outfit pictures- transformation from when she first started and now. And, THAT was truly impressive and inspiring.

Yara divided her biggest tips and tricks into seven categories:
01. Finding your Blog Niche
02. Creating an Editorial Calendar
03. Visuals (Pictures)
04. Text
05. Attracting & Keeping Readers
06. Social Media
07. LET'S TALK BUSINESS (Turning your blog into a business).

Each category was equally informative and I took her tips very seriously. I have about 10 pages of notes to proof it. After her presentation was done, Yara recommended a few books (including her own) to help grow our blog even further, and did a little Q&A. Afterwards, she also took the time to have a chat with all the bloggers and snap a few pictures. She is so humble and truly an inspiration to me. And if you check her resume and see all the things she has accomplished with her blog so far, you too would aspire to be just like her! :)

WANT: Boohoo.com Print Peep Toe Boots ❤

     HELLO LOVELY READERS

I feel like I've been blogging way too much about shoes lately, I hope you guys don't mind haha! But Boohoo.com has done it again! I just can't stay away from that shop. Each time I browse around, I have to add something new to my wishlist. Literally and figuratively. Latest addition? THESE GORGEOUS PEEP-TOE BOOTS!!!! ❤__❤.  They were just added to the collection, along with some other cool shoes.

Boohoo Roxy Printed Lace & Buckle Peep Toe Boot
Boohoo Roxy Printed Lace & Buckle Peep Toe Boot
Roxy Printed Lace & Buckle Peep Toe Boot in red & multi

I can't stop staring at these pictures. I like the fact that it's a peep toe shoe and has the lace and buckle detailing. But mostly, I am absolutely obsessed with the prints! Both of them! I think I like the green one just a little bit better, but I need them both. So, these two pairs are definitely going to be on my next Boohoo check out list end of this month! ;) Summer reallyyyyyyy needs to hurry up now.

What are your thoughts on these shoes?

PS. Boohoo.com is momentarily having a '20% OFF Best of British Style' offer! Use the code: BRITHIT. Offer ends soon. So shop away!

What 2 Wear: Curaçao Carnival 2014 ❤

     HELLO LOVELY READERS

This post is especially for all the fashionable females in Curaçao who are getting ready to enjoy the annual Carnival parades. The Carnival season is all about having fun, looking playful and showing off your personal colorful fashion sense. And with all of that in mind, I've created 8 different looks [shorts & skirts] that hopefully brings you to some stylish outfit ideas of your own. So let's get you inspired!
Curacao Carnival 2014 outfit ideas
 Bralet x Midi
Look sexy without exposing too much, by wearing a midi tube skirt and a bralet. Make the outfit pop with contrasting color shoes.

✿ Monochrome x Color Block
Rock the monochrome trend with a matching top & sunglasses and make it festive with color blocking shorts and textured heels.
Curacao Carnival 2014 outfit ideas
✿ White x Holographic
Who knew white can make you stand out? Wearing white on white definitely will! And to make your outfit a little bit more interesting add a holographic backpack and colored-lens sunglasses.

✿ Polka Dots x Leather
Show off your toned legs with some black leather shorts and sexy peep toe booties. And add a polka dotted satchel for a more playful look.

✿ Print x Clash
Wearing matching separates is still a big ongoing trend. But for Carnival, change it up with completely different prints and voilà! Make sure the prints do actually work go together. Keep your accessories in the same color scheme for a more polished look.

✿ Feminine x Floral
Stay true to your girly personality by wearing a floral skirt and matching colored chunky boots. Girly-fy your outfit even more with a cute bow headband and an eye-catching clutch. Wear a simple top to keep the focus on the right items.

✿ Floral x Princess
Another girly outfit! Look cute and bring out your inner ballet girl with a tutu skirt. Wear lace up shoes for a comfortable feel and give your outfit a feminine finishing touch with a floral crown.

✿ Gladiator x Color Block
I am still dying to find the perfect gladiator sandals! But if you happen to find them, pair these cuties up with a high waisted denim short. Color block your outfit by wearing a crochet crop top and a bright colored crossbody bag.

I hope these outfits have given you endless inspiration to start getting your outfits ready. Remember to put your best fashionable foot forward and always stay true to your style! Let me know which of these outfits above best represents your style and why.

My Entire Shoe Collection (HEELS Only) ❤

          HELLO LOVELY READERS

On facebook I asked if you wanted to see my entire shoe collection and your wish is my command. But because I have waaay more heels than any other type of shoes, I decided to just show my heels.. for now. In the past couple of months I have donated a lotttt of pairs of shoes that I knew I wasn't going to wear anymore, and I've also thrown away a few because they were torn beyond repair. So, these are the ones I was left with it.. I personally don't think I have a lot of heels.. at all! :P

Touch of Gold: Diewilikhebben Sandals ❤

     HELLO LOVELY READERS

A couple of months ago I received some gold heeled sandals from DieWilIkHebben and it completely crossed my mind that I haven't really shown you guys on-pictures of them yet. So when I wore the shoes a couple of days ago, I made sure to take some pictures for the blog. Butt.... the  most unfortunate thing just happened, as the pictures accidentally got deleted off of my camera :( So I had to do some quick improvising and snapped these pictures.
Gold Shoes Diewilikhebben.com
No my camera isn't broken, I just really like this effect lol
Gold Shoes Diewilikhebben.com
Gold Shoes Diewilikhebben.com
Even though I am obsessed with shoes, I generally do not like feet and toes lol. That is why I'm really liking the strapped-all-over heels lately. Because they cover your feet so nicely and make them look kind of elegant. And all though I'm more used to wearing thicker heels, these did not really tire me as I initially thought they would. And as you can (hopefully) see in the pictures, the shoes have a double strap at the ankles as well which prevented my feet from slipping as I walked. These are just my second pair of Diewilikhebben.com shoes, but hopefully I'll be rocking more of their shoes in this upcoming summer! But of course, you can rock their shoes all year round! Aaaand DWIH has also just launched their newest product, the SHOECANDY! So definitely stay tuned for more of that on my blog soon.

Oh, and the nail polish I'm wearing on my toes are the HEMA Long Lasting Polish in the mint green color 842. Just in case anyone was wondering...

Thanks so much again Agnes! :D

NEWS: Forever21 Amsterdam coming May 2014 ❤

      HELLO LOVELY READERS

Forever21 in Amsterdam launching in May 2014
If you follow me on facebook, you may already know that it is fi-nal-ly official! FOREVER21 is coming to the Netherlands in MAY2014!!! The exact date is not announced yet. But I hope it will soon, so I can mark it in my calendar! How crazy? In just a couple of months, we wouldn't have to travel all the way to Antwerp anymore to shop F21 offline. All it'll take is one intercity train to Amsterdam! I am sooo excited. The first (and only) time I went to the F21 Antwerp, my mind was just blown away by how huge the store was. But the one in Amsterdam will be even bigger, because it will have 5(!!!) floors.

Forever21 in Amsterdam launching in May 2014

Now that the news is out, it's time for me to start saving some serious bucks (actually euros). Because there is no way I'll be able to contain myself walking in that store!

On a scale of 1 to 17977402, how excited are you?!

Xx

My Current Shoes Wishlist ❤

       HELLO LOVELY READERS

If there was one thing I could spend limitless money on, it would definitely be shoes. I can't tell you how many shoes in my collection are still considered unworn. And even though, there is basically no shoe space left in my room, I can't help but continue to feed my obsession. But for these pairs below, I definitely wouldn't feel guilty.
Heelberry.com hologram buckle cut out boots gold silver
HEELBERRY || Cut-out boots, holographic boots? Cool. But a mixture of them? Honestly, that's just an instant-need. Especially in these two colors.
Missguided ss14 colorful pastel heels shoes
MISSGUIDED || Whenever I see vibrant colors, I can't help but long for the winter days to be over. And these two just scream out Spring and Summer!
River Island ss14 shoes
RIVER ISLAND || Honestly, when I saw this pink chunk cut-out boot I just died. Especially because it's currently on sale for 50% off. And it's just so cute, but not totally girly which makes it wearable with anything! And don't get me started on this orange one. Orange is usually not my color, but maaan do I love this shoe.
Gojane.com heels shoes
GOJANE || Whenever I'm on Gojane.com I literally feel like crying, because I want so many items. But the intl shipping costs are just too extreme. Another reason for me to get my butt to the US already! I'm not going to explain why these shoes are on my current wishlist, because.... just look at them!

What's on your current ss14 shoes wishlist?
