Spring 2016 Fashion Wishlist ❤

Winter season is officially dunzo, but of course the Dutch weather is being stubborn. Still hoping the temperatures go up soon enough, so I can box up all of my winter clothing until the end of the year. With every new season, I love adding new pieces to my wardrobe that I think will match perfectly with the weather and current style trends. My favorites for this spring so far are bomber jackets and just about anything suede. Definitely two reoccurring trends in this year's spring wishlist. Frankfurt Travel Diary ❤

If you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I was in Frankfurt - Germany recently. One of my personal goals this year was to travel more often. So when my dad asked me if I wanted to join him on his business trip, I couldn't pass that up. During these four days we stayed in Intercontinental Frankfurt (such a fancy hotel might I add) and luckily had a little bit of time to play tourist besides all that business talk. The hotel was ideally located near the main metro station Hauptbahnhof, so within minutes we were at our destinations. See my full travel diary below. 

Fashion Wishlist: Minga London ❤

Don't you just love when you finally discover where some of the clothes you've been lusting after on Instagram, are from? I just had one of those moments with the online shop Minga London. And since I haven't shopped online in a little while, I thought it would be fun to make a lust list. I might even a place an order afterwards, who knows? 

These first two sweaters below are my absolute fave and so me! I'm really debating on which one I should get first! I think right now the Princes one is winning. What do you think? I'm also really liking the mermaid shell bathing suits and slogan bodysuits (which could totally pass as swimwear as well). And you can never go wrong with black sweaters, am I right? YAAASS! Event | Glamour Fashion-Vintage Live 2016 ❤

Sundays are usually days I like to do absolutely nothing but lay in my bed and catch up on my favorite series. But today, I traveled to Amsterdam for GlamourNL's Fashion-Vintage Live: the biggest offline fashion market of the year! Shoppers got the opportunity to raid the closets of tons of fashion editors, style icons, stylists, bloggers and Glamour readers. When I arrived around one o'clock, it wasn't as crowded as I expected it to be. But that only meant that it was so much easier to walk around the hundreds of fashion booths and food trucks. Ways to Spend Valentine's Day When You're Single ❤

All the single ladies, all the single ladies.. now put your hands up! Personally I've never had this problem, but Valentine's Day can be a very lousy day for some people when they're single. Yes, it's a very commercialized holiday. But I feel like people tend to forget that this day isn't just about having a significant other to show love to, but also family and friends you hold dear to your heart! In case you rather not spend Valentine's Day alone, gather all your single gals together and host the most Pinterest-looking dinner party ever! Get some delicious looking recipes online and show everyone you're a kitchen princess in disguise. Maybe you've seen these, maybe you haven't.. but they're everywhere now. I'm talking about what seems to be bloggers' favorite new screensaver that'll make any office space go from basic to Pinterest worthy. Fliqlo - the famous flip clock screensaver, has been around for years now. But only recently did I decide it was time to hop on the bandwagon.

I just love the look of a minimalist office space and the fliqlo clock fits right in there. And the good news is anyone can get it (for free), whether you have a Mac or Windows desktop/laptop or have an iOS device. They make for great Instagram pictures, that's for sure. And are super convenient obviously!

The first week of 2016 is officially behind us and I'm proud and impressed that the goals set for this year are still all I think about. If you've read my previous blog post, you know that maintaining a healthy lifestyle was on the list. And even though I have been more cautious of what I eat now and often choose home-cooking over take-out, I still haven't gotten my butt back into the gym just yet! And though it might sound a little superficial, I think buying cute gym clothes just might be the motivation that I need. So you know I had to find me some..

My Life Goals for 2016 ❤

YOU GUYSSSS.. It is officially 2016!!! I know what I'm about to say is the most cliché thing ever, but it literally feels like 2015 just started. But I can't lie, overall it was a very good year: I graduated from college and got to have my parents at my ceremony, I got to travel abroad three times, I still have tons of blogging years in me, I'm healthy, I'm happy.. so I really can't complain. But I think it's time to turn it up a notch this year. That's why I went ahead and created a list of goals to work towards this year!

☑ Find my Dream Job

On top of the things I really need to accomplish within the first few weeks of this year, is to find a full-time job I absolutely love to do. Honestly, the ideal situation for me would be to become a full-time blogger and work from home. But since bills are a real thing, I have to find a more realistic job for now that's all about fashion and marketing! At least, until my blog becomes profitable enough for me to live comfortably. But I'm confident that day's gonna come when it's time. 

☏ Find my Dream Apartment

Along with finding a job, I also need to find a new apartment soon. Preferably one with more than one bedroom to create a home office or a walk-in closet.. or both! But to find a place big enough, I gotta make sure I am able to afford one first. So finding an apartment and finding a job really go hand in hand. But I've been collecting tons and tons of interior inspiration on Pinterest, so I'm very sure I'll be able to transform any space into my own little dream home. 

✈ Feed into my Wanderlust

Being an island girl and moving to a much bigger city in the Netherlands has opened my eyes to so many new experiences. But sadly enough, I haven't experienced Europe as much as I had hoped for within the past five years. So I really want to change that this year. Lately I've had such an urge to just wander off in various cities and just appreciate the city life. Be sure to follow my new Instagram account @WanderingTheCity if you have a wanderlust as well. 

♥ Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle

I was probably the most into regularly working out last year right before my birthday. And I really really want to get back into some sort of routine. I haven't been eating as healthy as I probably should for the last couple of months and sometimes it just makes me feel really crappy about myself. Whenever I was working out, eating healthy and seeing positive results, it just motivated me so much and made me feel a lot more confident. I really want to bring that positiveness back into my daily life.

☼ Celebrate the Little Things

As my last goal for this year, I just really want to appreciate life more. I want everyday to have lots of happy and zen moments. I want to laugh more, love more, live more and experience more. So whenever I'm having a bad day (because that's totally okay), I want to still find the good in each day! 

I think these five goals are very realistic and I'll do my best attempt at sticking to all of them throughout the year. Honestly can't wait to see where my life has taken me once 2017 rolls around. But first, I'm giving 2016 my all!

First off, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that it's officially December. This year went by crazy fast! But now back to the actual post. I love identifying myself as a blogger and I'd like to think that as such, I'm part of a special community. That's why I came up with the idea to create a gift guide blog post especially for bloggers!

It's no secret that the difference between maintaining a good and a crappy blog is mostly the content!
